Who TF is Lynds?
I’m Lynds - nail tech, mentor, and founder of Black Canvas Society. Toddler mom. Elder emo. Big believer in doing business differently.
I started like many techs do: passionate, capable… and completely overwhelmed. I undercharged, overworked, and assumed stress was just part of the job - after leaving an established leadership career with zero savings and no real plan.
Over time, I learned how to simplify my business, set boundaries, price with confidence, and market in a way that actually felt like me.
I’ve been a salon-based nail tech for 2 years, and Black Canvas Society is built on those real-world lessons, alongside ongoing research - so you don’t have to figure everything out the hard way.
I won’t rush you, shout at you, or tell you there’s only one right way. I’m here to help you build a business that feels calm, aligned, and sustainable.

Mission
My mission is to take beginner or stuck nail techs from thinking 'Shit I need a 9-5' to 'I’ve made the best decision of my life'.
